Tavolara Island

A great boost to the tourism environment is provided by the exceptional characteristics of this territory which, at sea or on land, suggests a variety of interesting ideas for really active holiday, which can be spent discovering unspoilt landscapes which sometimes are unattainable unless accompanied by guides of the area.
Porto San Paolo is a booming tourist town in the center of the Marine Protected Tavolara and Punta Coda Cavallo, in the midst of Gallura is the interior and coastal Sardinia East Only 12 km south of Olbia.

We are in easy reach of the airpor' International Airport Costa Smeralda. But also for those arriving by ferry to the Stazione Marittima of Olbia and Golfo Aranci dock where ships from Genoa, Livorno, Piombino and Civitavecchia, Fiumicino sail to.
In town there are bars, souvenir shops, clothing, sports equipment and fishing, newsstands, fotoshop, supermarkets, real estate, travel, pizzerias, bookstores, and a weekly market takes place where you can buy, often directly from producers, some local food produced in Sardinia.

At the small Pier, built by the Navy almost 50 years ago, most boats offer services at sea and arrange trips (transfers) to the small archipelago of Tavolara for those who want to sun bath, snorkel or dive. On the beach of the island are two excellent restaurant.
The season of Proto San Paolo becomes ever longer, thanks to tourist accommodation, some of which stay open all year, but it is fair to say that most of the services start on the first weekend in April and close in early October.
