Diving Point

The large island, Tavolara, emerges from the sea, majestically, to over 560 meters in height, is about 1 km wide and stretches out to sea for more than 6 km. the coast line, for the most part inaccessible, are completely different the two main fronts.

The north side, which slopes gently towards the sea, is covered with shrubs and native plants, is very similar to the typical Sardinian coastal landscape, covered by low bush, completely different side of the Southeast, almost completely bare, with its cliffs that rise toward the sky for hundreds of meters and where thousands of nesting birds live.

The charm of Tavolara is also right in its geological history, which is lost in the memory of the planet at a time when the seabed and land were in search of more stable equilibrium, and the outline of the coast drew a map of the area well different from what we see today.
